Do you ever feel that we’re made for more in this life? I’m not just talking about the impact you have in your line of work, finding true love, how much you give back to your community, or raising a family (all worthy endeavors). You can achieve everything on your life list, yet still feel like something is missing.

If we’re being honest, we’ve all wondered what the purpose of our human existence is—and what awaits us after.

Ecclesiastes 3:11 says, “He has also set eternity in the human heart.”

A Defining Moment In History

This month, millions of Christians around the world recognized one of the most significant times of the year—the holy week of Easter. It commemorates the final days of Jesus’ life on earth, leading up to His arrest, crucifixion, and resurrection.

Jesus knew His purpose and mission in this world. And when it was fulfilled, it forever changed the course of human history.

John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.”

The Life, Sacrifice and History of Jesus

He entered this world fully human, yet fully God. Was faced the same temptations and human emotions we experience, yet lived a perfect life.

He suffered deeply, enduring pain and sacrifice—but even on the cross, He was thinking about you and me.

And the story didn’t end there.

Three days after Jesus took His last breath, He rose from the grave. He appeared to many before ascending into Heaven. The good news is that because He lives, so can we!

You Were Made For More

The truth is, you and I were made for more.

He knew you before you were born. His thoughts were set on you long before your life began.

Ephesians 1:4 says, “For He chose us in Him before the creation of the world.”

You are no accident. Your gifts, abilities, personality, and talents are by design.

Psalm 139:13–14 says, “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.”

Whether you are a believer or not, I want to encourage you this week to get to know who Jesus is.

We were made to be in a personal relationship with Him. That is our ultimate path to purpose.

Getting Back on the Path

1. Create a 10-Minute Daily Reset with God

Set aside just 10 minutes each day this week—no distractions. Read a small portion of Jesus’ story (start with John 1–3), and ask yourself: What does this show me about who Jesus is—and what could this mean for my life?

Finish by speaking to God in your own words. No script—just honesty.

2. Take One Step Toward Relationship, Not Religion

Choose one intentional action this week: attend a church, have a conversation with someone who has faith, or listen to a message about Jesus.

The goal isn’t to have everything figured out—it’s to take one step toward knowing Him.
